I want to use EF Canon cine-primes but haven't had good luck on a "vanilla" C100—motorized follow focus units torque the lenses too much causing them to shift in their mounts. I'm assuming the C300 with a locking mount would be more robust.
Does anyone know if an EF-mount C300 can be upgraded to locking EF mount in the USA?
Or preferably, can a C300 mkii be purchased direct from Canon already upgraded?
I read the upgrade can be performed in the UK.
Thanks,
Eli

Hello Eli_fleming,
The EOS C300 Mark II can be upgraded at the factory service center to the locking EF-CL mount but not the original EOS C300.
If you ordered an EOS C300 Mark II and wished to have it upgraded, the cost breaks down as follows:
Cost of first time modification
1. conversion kit cost = $1,670
2. labor cost = $500
The mount we take off the camera is reusable, so those parts are returned to you. Shipping charges are not included.
