imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 - stuck on processing please wait. Won't print.

My imageprograf pro-1000 hangs on the processing please wait screen forever and I cannot get it to print.  Any suggestions?  Thanks

Nope sadly not, printer for the scrap heap and canon wash their hands of the problem. 

Same issue. This printer, and company, are complete duds. Wasted thousands of dollars on a brick.

Absolute trash. I have this printer as well. I have tried calling tech support to see if they could resolve the issue. I never make it past the phone tree. The only way to get through is to call sales. They cant help. At this point I wouldnt even upgrade to the 1100. My assumption after doing all the firmware upgrades is they have a harware issue. Since they wont admit they made a junk machine, you have to believe the 1100 has the same sickness. Does anyone at Canon read these? I just spent another $760 for a set on ink plus a maintenance cart. I started having this issue literally right after swapping one of the inks so I cant even return the ink. Im done after this round. Hopefully Epson is better.

The fact this thread has just short of 28,000 views should tell you what you need to know about Canon support. 

I’ve called so many times about this issue and support always act like I’m the only one with this problem. 

I have exactly the same problem. I have managed over the past couple of years to get around this when it happens by following the unplugging everything and the hitting the on button ten times before restarting it. However, that doesn’t seem to work now. I’m fed up. Will look at Epson.
