Hello everyone!
I'm a little unsure of how to proceed. I wasn't planning to purchase this printer right now, but when I was just looking around I found a used one for a great price and had to get it.
I'm leaving for vacation next week and I'll be gone for 3 weeks. The printer came with 3rd party ink installed, which I would like to switch over to OEM inks. I'm wondering what the best way to do this is. I assume I need to drain the system to effectively change the inks, so they don't mix while traveling to the print head. Would it be wise to just leave the system drained and then install the OEM inks since I won't be able to print regularly in the 3 weeks of vacation? Is this possible? I am not sure if the print head can still clog after draining. Does it need to be cleaned in addition to draining so it doesn't get destroyed? If so, how would I go about it?
Any insight and/or experience on that would be greatly appreciated.
Johanna
