PIXMA PRO-200 Error 1062 when printing thumbnail images

Jweihm

Hello!

Using PIXMA PRO 200

I am having no luck printing multiple thumbnail images along the edge of the paper. The first image is no problem, but subsequent images seem to be an issue and the error message I receive is 1062, stating that the paper is the wrong size. However as soon as I flip the same sheet of paper to the opposite end of the initial thumbnail, it seems to be fine. I feel like perhaps the printer head detects the small image as the edge of the paper (?).

I am using PhotoShop and a Mac running Sonoma 14.3

Greatly appreciate any advice! I feel like I must be missing a simple step.

Hi Jweihm,

Please try these steps on your printer:

1.  Turn your PIXMA PRO-200 on.

2.  Press the Home button.

3.  Use the down arrow until Various settings is selected and then press OK.

4.  Select Printer settings and press OK.

5.  Use the down arrow to select Paper-related settings and press OK.

6.  Use the down arrow to select Advanced paper settings and press OK.

7.  Select the paper type that you have been using and selecting on your printer before printing and press OK.

8.  Use the down arrow to select Detect paper width and press OK.

Hello and thank you for sharing this solution. However, I have since returned my Cannon 200 for a Canon program 300. I am dealing with the same issue and have tried a variety for solutions offered on the Canon website. This is getting a bit frustrating! Any other suggestions? Again, fresh unmarked sheets of paper print just fine. But as soon as I have a smaller image on the edge, I cannot print another thumbnail test image next to the initial image. Thanks for your help. I have only ever owned Epson printers - I hope I am missing something obvious!

And if helpful: I just successfully printed one thumbnail on the centre of the page along with the existing thumbnail on the edge of the paper. For some reason I cannot print thumbnail images in a row along the edge. Weird!!
