Canon Prograf 1100 will not print even though nozzle and head work well

I've seen this now a couple of times already here. Basically, send the job via Canon Professional Print and Layout and it seems like everything is normal - printer panel says 'printing' and you think it's working but then nothing and then the job just disappears and nothing happens.

I ran a nozzle check, nozzle is good. I tried one commenters suggestion to turn disable the LAN and then try again. I've restarted the computer, restarted print and layout. Incredibly frustrating on a brand new printer!

Hi Patrick,

thanks for the reply. I did and they were very helpful. I had to turn off and on the printer, the printer did not seem to cycle into a maintenance mode but I am still concerned I did lose ink over the procedure.

Next, they advised that I find and add the printer anew. For thise reading this I am on a Mac using canon printer software and I had to add the printer with letters and numbers within its IP address.

The printer is now printing again.
