9000F Mark II - cannot select "enable large image scans"

When I go to scangear, advanced mode, preferences, scan and try to select "enable large image scans" I cannot, because it is greyed out.  What am I missing?

Hello.

This would have to be enabled from the IJ Scan Utilty.  Please perform the following:

1.  Open the IJ Scan Utility. 

2.  Click Settings.

3.  Click the Scangear tab on the left.

4.  Check the box to enable large scans.

Once this has been done, click OK.
