"another computer is using this printer"

mx 922 often says "another computer is using this printer" and won't print even when there is only one computer on.

Junk the Canon and get an HP!

NO! Why is this a uniquely Canon problem! I junked my Canon and got an HP. Now my problem is solved.

Rebooting/restarting the printer with the page in queue will restart with the page printing.

It appears that when leaving the printer online for an extended time, it gets confused and I will recieve either an "offline" or "another computer is using this printer" when I need to print. So far restarting the printer gets it working for me.

I hope thiss method works for all of you as well.
