thanks for trying to help me
Unfortunately my new dell laptop doesnt have a cd drive so I uninstalled all the canon apps using the control panel on the computer.
Then I went to the canon website and downloaded the drivers.
When installing the drivers the printer couldnt be found so I had to hook up a usb cable to link the computer to the printer.
After doing this it still cant detect the printer on the network and is asking for a network key.
is a network key the same as a mac address or a password for the network or what?
I also tried manually setting the printer to use my guest network where it didnt ask for a network key but that doesnt work as it still cant detect the printer on the network.
also there was no mention of a solution for my vista computers
