Very slow wireless printing MG5700

Yamanak
Apprentice

Recently, using my new laptop there was a change in printer response time via wireless. Windows 10 home Pixma MG5700. Printer designation is MG5700WS in the settings. Does not give option of MG5700 like on my wired desktop. I get messages like "port in use", "printer not responding", and then it prints the page(s) after several minutes. Don't know what changed recently. Printer in use since 3/17. Laptop in use since 5/2020. Could it be recent windows updates? What can I do? TIA.
