Trying to unshare the scanner on a PIXMA MG1300.

My dad keeps complaining about his computer defaulting to the scanner on my PIXMA MG1300 instead of the scanner in his office.  I managed to make it so the printer isn't shared; is there any way to do it for the scanner deck?

Your dad will want to set whatever printer/scanner he wants to be the primary as the default on his computer. What operating system does he have?
