TS3722 PIXMA - Cannot connect to my wifi....

SadComputer
Apprentice

Hello everyone! After three frustrating hours, I am still unable to connect my printer to both my Wi-Fi and my Microsoft laptop. I can only "run" Microsoft apps, so therein lies a challenge. Yes, my router is working and the only other item using the router in my home at the moment is one television. Can anyone assist? Thank you in advance! 🙂

Greetings

Is your laptop ARM based or running in S-Mode?

I haven't switched to S-Mode, due to the warning on my computer, indicating that switching would be a terrible idea.

Greetings,

We may need a little more information.  The printer installers are not compatible with systems based on an ARM processor, only Intel and AMD are supported.  Most newer Microsoft laptops are based on ARM Snapdragon processors

Although, the error message you provided appears to indicate your system is running in S mode which could be why it says you can only use Microsoft apps.

You can easily confirm this by pressing the windows start button, type "winver" in the search bar and press enter. A new window will appear and tell you what version and build of Windows you are running.

The printer supports a 2.4 GHz wireless broadcast that uses WPA2 encryption. Please make sure your network meets this requirement.  The printer has to be put in wireless setup mode in order to connect to a network.
