I am using the latest Canon Pixma G7040 device in my home network. The printer and laptop are connected to the same WiFi network. When scan any documents, I am getting the error "Cannot communicate with scanner. ... Code 5, 157, 69"
If I connect the printer to the laptop via USB and turn off WiFi, this error does not occur.
I did search through this forum and the following did not help:
1) Disabling Firewall and/or Antivirus on my laptop
2) Disabling Firewall on the router
It is interesting that I I can print via USB and via WiFi also! Printing is working fine, scanning is not working via WiFi. It means it is NOT network problem anв it is Canon hardware (or software) issue.
How to re-enable scanning function?
