My printer will not connect to my Wi-Fi. It is asking me for a password that I never used or had. What next?

Welcome to the forum!

So that the Community can help you better, we will need to know which model Canon printer?  Which version of Windows or macOS are you using? Do you connect to your printer using a USB cable or WiFi?
Any other details you'd like to give will only help the Community better understand your issue.  If this is a time-sensitive matter, click HERE search our knowledge base or find additional support options HERE

Thank you

Greetings,

If you'd like us to provide product specific support, we are going to need the model number of your printer as Tiffany requested 😀

Beyond that however, you are going to need the password for your wi-fi network in order to connect a printer or any other wireless device that you purchase or visits your home.  This might have been provided by the person or entity that setup your router.  Its also possible there is a sticker on the top, side or bottom of the router that has your wireless network name and password?  If you are unsure and the equipment was provided by your ISP (internet service provider), then check with them.   We can help with the set up once you have this information.
