Pixma MG7700 will not connect to wireless network

Suddenly, my Pixma MG7700 will not connect to the wireless network in my home. The router is fine. Everything else is connected (Mac Book, Iphone). But the printer won't connect. It will find my router but it will not connect after I put in my password. I don't usually have to do that. I turn on printer, give it a second and it just connects. Not today. Help!

Hi knewanda123,

To connect your printer to the network, I recommend resetting the printer's network card followed by connecting the printer to the network. The following steps will assist you:

Resetting the Network Card

  1. Slide your finger across the screen from LEFT to RIGHT one time.
  2. Select SETUP
  3. Select DEVICE SETTINGS
  4. Slide your finger from the BOTTOM of the screen to the TOP one times
  5. Select RESET SETTINGS.
  6. Select LAN SETTINGS ONLY.
  7. Select YES
  8. The printer will reset the network card.
  9. The message, "Following is completed." will appear on the screen, press OK.
  10. Press the BACK (U-turn arrow) button one time.

The next set of steps will guide you through reconnecting the device to the network:

Standard Setup

  1. Slide your finger from the TOP of the screen to the BOTTOM of the screen one time.
  2. Press LAN SETTINGS.
  3. Press WIRELESS LAN SETUP.
  4. Press STANDARD SETUP.
  5. Select YOUR NETWORK NAME
  6. Select PLEASE ENTER to enter your network's password.
    • Press the UP arrow for capital letters.
    • Press A/two arrows/1@  for numbers and special characters.
    • To delete characters press the box with the x in it.
  7. After entering the password, press OK, twice.
  8. The message, "Connected to the wireless router." will appear on the screen, press OK.
  9. Press the HOME button.
  10. Perform a test print.
