My imageCLASS MF641Cw isn't working properly, not printing reds and oranges correctly

I have had my imageClass for a couple of years. It stopped printing the reds and oranges correctly. When I tried to go through the misalignments and other fixes, I kept getting an error that it couldn't perform the operation. I replaced the magenta printer cartridge, thinking it was it. HOWEVER, now it isn't printing correctly at all and still won't go through the maintenance functions properly.  I totally removed the printer from my computer and reinstalled. Now, it is worse. I really need this printer for schoolwork and other things. HELP!

Also, I can't perform the Fixing Assembly, auto-adjust gradation, or the auto-correction settings. It says these can't be performed. I really need this printer for my teaching and Mary Kay business. Thanks

Are you using Canon toners?  If you are using third-party toners, you may not be able to do a color calibration, gradation repair or clean the fixing assembly.  This is because some third-party toners will not communicate with the printer correctly.

No, as an NC teacher, I can't afford OEM cartridges. I wish I could. However, they were working properly until I updated the printer's firmware the other night. Now, everything I print is off, both spatially and color-wise. This is really upsetting b/c school starts soon and I need my printer to work.
