I am trying to connect my printer to my new wireless router. When going through the steps for Standard Setup in a LAN Network, I came to a request to select the MAC address. I was given two options neither of which match the MAC address on the router. I don't know what to do now.

Hi!
To have a better understanding of your issue, please double check your printer model, it will be either on the top of the printer or on the front and will start with MG72xx followed by two other digits, along with any other information you think might be helpful for the Community to know.
If this is a time-sensitive matter, please check out your other support options here.
Thanks!

I don't know how I did that. Upset I guess. Yes, it is the MG7720

Thanks for trying. Yes, I had done that, followed those instructions, and it failed. Said to try another method. Not very helpful.

Greetings,
What failed? What error message did you receive exactly?
I suspect this is related to your network hardware or its configuration. It sounds like you might be using a mesh network. Can you confirm that for us?
Tell me more about your network, brand and model of your equipment, etc.
How is it configured? What networks are broadcasting, etc

Yes, it is a mesh router. Tp-Link Deco W7200. It is just a local home network - that's all I know. One Dell laptop. Internet provider is Spectrum. I misstated the model number of the printer, it is Canon MG7720. As to what the message was, I will have to try once again.
I tried again and now I couldn't even download the exe file to run. I just got an error message "can't create output file" followed by a c:\users\cinwa\.....exe. I don't know how to get around that.
Thank you so much for trying to help me.

Once again, thanks for trying to help me. I am not sure how to do what you suggest, but I will try. I have previously been able to download the exe, but it is now failing. For my former router I was able to set up the wifi connection with the printer and don't remember having any problem. I may have to hire someone to help me this time.

The PRINTER has a MAC address, and an IP address. That is what the router needs to know.

Greetings,
Actually, this is not what he is seeing. A mesh system can display multiple MAC addresses, one for each AP on a network allowing you to select the preferred node you want a device to associate with.
Cinwallace, I would suggest you log into your Decco's admin portal. Review the wireless configuration. Ensure you have a dedicated 2.4Ghz broadcast that uses WPA2 encryption. If the Decco has a WPA3/WPA2 (combined) settings you may use that. I have it on my mesh system (an Asus).
Sorry, but I'm not able to help with the download. I tried and had no issue downloading the printer/scanner driver.
Please ensure you are downloading directly from the printers support portal.
