Hello everyone,
I have problem with many PCs that I cannot install drivers for Canon i-SENSYS MF643Cdw. Tried using original PCL6 drivers, UFR II drivers. PC is connected to printer via USB. During installation, the connection via USB is not recognized. Of course I tried to reseat USB and restart printer during searching what was recommended. Printer is working with limited features. Scan is not working.

Your image appears to indicate a problem with drivers. For USB connections, it's important to run the installation utility before connecting the device. During installation it will prompt you when to connect the printer. If you connected it first and it failed, it's best to start over.
Disconnect the USB cable from your computer, uninstall the printer and restart your machine.
Now run the installation utility and connect the printer only when prompted to do so.
The drivers you referenced above are for printing and will not install the scanner. For that you need scangear and the IJ Scan Utility.
Drivers for the device are intended for hardware based on Intel or AMD processors. They will not install on ARM based systems with snapdragon processors.

Hi there, just stumbled accross this topic, as I am having very similar issues, whereby the printer will not connect via USB on setup, for some reason.
However, I've noticed that the Canon support website also doesn't seem to let me download the most recent version of the driver for the printer. When I select windows 11, that my printer runs on, or windows 10, no list of drivers comes up to download, even though it states that drivers are available for my system. As per the image below.
Weirdly though, if I select windows 8 and below, or any mac version, drivers do pop up on the page. Was just wondering if anyone also has had this issue? Many thanks

Greetings,
I just clicked the link I provided above. Clicked on the blue Drivers banner and then selected windows 11. Drivers and software were presented for download.
