Canon PRINT app iOS no dark mode - visual impairment

Fittleworth

Hi, i’m new to community, but I’ve been using Canon Pixma printers for years

My new Canon Printer now has an iOS app which my Son kindly set up for me as I am severely visually impaired but still need to scan or print on occasion as to the other members of the household.

The thing is, it does not have dark mode.

this makes it almost impossible for me to use as the screen is just too bright.

Please can a fix for this or update be rolled out. There must  be thousands of customers who are also visual impaired that struggle with the application.

if you fix this, then the device will be practically perfect..

I would be veryvery grateful if it could be brought to the attention of the software design team.

be very many people who use this product

About the only workaround would be go to Settings | Accessibility | Display & Text Size, and enable "Smart Invert". Any app that lacks dark mode would at least invert all colors (white becomes black, etc.).

However, this will unfortunately also invert those apps that have dark mode.

Canon isn't known for their software. Dark mode came out six years ago, so there's no reason to not include it. About the best you can do is to submit feedback by accessing the "[+]Feedback" item at the top or bottom of the following web page: https://www.usa.canon.com/
