my 4k video quality seems lower than the standard ,also the image seems closer when filming in 4k. Can anyone explain this to me please.Thank you.

Greetings,
The behavior you are describing is as designed. Its called cropping.
Video capture does not use the full size of the image sensor. Shooting takes place by cropping pixels from the center of the sensor. This is why your video "appears" closer than it is.

Thank you for your help Rick i understand this now, but can you tell me please why the 1920 by 1080 video is better quality than the 4k video it also seems quicker to focus on the 1920 by 1080 ? thanks for any help.
