S100 No image on LCD

My S100 does not display an image on the LCD.  It displays the menus just fine.  When I turn it on the lens extends and lens cover retracts, but nothing shows on the LCD.  Pressing the shutter it appears to take a picture - shutter sound "plays" and then screen briefly displays "busy" at it writes to SD card.  Examine the image on the SD card and it is black.  Pressing "DISP" cycles through the variations but no image displays.  I sure love this camera and would like to get it working again, thanks in advance.

If you are able to perform a settings reset, please try that.

If you have another SD card to test with, that would also be helpful.

If neither of these yeild success, your camera will require service.
