I have an old G15 that gets used as a spare or loan out camera. It's been working fine for many years and takes nice pictures.
Recently, the lens cover stopped retracting, and the camera shuts down with a lens error. I don't really think it's worth spending much money on, so I've tried googling for advice but come up blank.
Anyone know of an easy fix, or is it just too old and belongs on the shelf?

#2. It's a nice camera (I had one that also died), but at 13-years-old the chance of getting it repaired is slim and not worth what it would cost even if.
