PowerShot SX740 HS Lens error E60

Hi! I recently cut on my camera the canon powershot sx740 and immediately when i go to turn the camera off it says there is a lens error E60 and says something is wrong with the lens. I have cleaned the lens, taken out the battery and it still is showing this issue. Anyone else had this happen or know what i should do. Also does anyone know where i can take it to get it looked at? I got the camera off of amazon so i cant register it with canon.

Greetings,

Amazon itself is a authorized Canon Dealer.  However, if you purchased a grey market product from a marketplace seller which was intended for sale in another country or region, you may not be able to get warranty or support here in the US.

Have you tried to register the device in your MyCanon Account?

If registration is not possible, you can try searching Google for camera repair near zip code xxxxx.

Unfortunately these situations highlight the reasons why purchasing from a non authorized dealer can cause problems.  You don't know what your buying or if it's even legitimate.

Hope it works out. 🙂  Here is a list of Authorized Canon Dealers
