If the batteries are good and it doesn't turn on, it's dead. You took a risk and lost. Didn't pay much, hopefully. People give non-working things to thrift stores all the time. I was the camera triage person at oe in my hometown and I saw all the junk that was donated. Will the store give you a refund?
