Hello all! I bought a used Powershot Elph 180 on EBay a few months ago. I’ve used it fine until it died a few days ago, so I took out the battery and charged it overnight (8+ hours.) The charger light was green the whole time while charging, so I assumed it was working. However, when I put the battery back in, the screen battery turned red and started flashing and indicating a low battery, before dying a minute later. I’ve tried charging it twice and this has happened each time. Can anybody help me out with this? I don’t know if I need to buy a new battery or what. Thank you!

You seem to have a an old battery, or a bad charger. Most likely a bad battery.

I agree.
B&H PhotoVideo has the NB-11L(H) battery in genuine Canon and Watson. Watson is good and a lot cheaper than Canon. You can also find battery and charger separates and combos on Amazon. I see the Watson there, next best is Kastar. Be wary of anything else.
