I recently purchased a Canon Powershot  SX 500 IS. How can I get good action shots of my daughter's sports? Some shots will be in a gym.

Unfortunately that camera seems to lack a viewfinder (from the short reviews I've looked at) which means that following action or sports while trying to look at the LCD will be a real challenge. It would be a lot easier (in my mind) to be looking through a viewfinder. Fortunately those reviews did say you could control the shutter speed & that it can be set to  AI Servo.
