I've had the camera couple of years and it gets occasional use. A mark 1 version.
Last week it wouldn't work so changed the battery and found time had reset to default.
Fixed and used for rest of day.
Charged flat battery
This week took it out and nothing. Not a beep. Lens won't open.
Changed battery same result.
Both batteries say they have full voltage when I run a multimeter over them.
Tried all manner of things. Left battery out for a day.
I plugged usb cord into my laptop and it reads the images okay. Not sure if that says anything about its condition?
Any ideas appreciated thanks.
I wondered if there was a reset button or button press combination that could kick start the camera.

Did you ever solve the issue ?

Yes thanks. They replaced the battery box but it persisted then they replaced its entire electronic system or something serious like that. Never missed a beat since.
