Canon G3x Playback Button

Here's my issue, is there a way to deactivate the "Playback" button when the camera is "off?" For me, anyway, it's a nuisance that whenever I accidently touch the button while camera is off that it immediately starts displaying images.

I searched around but unfortunately I was not able to find any setting that would control the playback button function.
