I am trying to connect my Powershot SX700 to my iPhone 14 Pro via the Camera Connect app. I've tried all the suggestions that I've run across on these boards to no avail including resetting camera WiFi settings, changing camera name, deleting and reinstalling the camera connect app, etc. I feel pretty confident the issue is with my iPhone, since I can install the app and connect the camera to my spouse's iPhone, an iPhone 13.
On the camera, I start the connection process by selecting the iPhone selection, select "Add a Device", get the "Waiting to Connect" message with the new SSID value. Then on my iphone, I connect my WiFi to the new access point as displayed on the camera. The iPhone displays it's connected to the new Access Point. Then, on the iPhone, i start the Camera Connect app, go through the steps of registering the camera, check the "Camera is ready to connect box", then select the Next button. The Wi-Fi connection screen shows that the iPhone is connected to the correct network/access point, and then never advances any further. Any help is appreciated.
