I had to replace my hard drive and now I can not get my scanner icon to scan. It is like it isn't there even though the icon is there.

Providing us the full back story may help.
Regardless how you got to your current state, I'd recommend the following.
Download the current drivers compatible with the OS you are using:
Support | Color Laser | Color imageCLASS MF733Cdw | Canon USA
Remove the device from your system.
Uninstall any Canon related drivers or software
Restart your machine
Perform set up and installation again.
