We have a demo ir-adv c7270 but are struggling to achieve what we already do with our Xerox 4110. Currently we scan double sided documents, and separate output into multiple tiffs, that are then ftp'd to a server that further processes them. On the Xerox, our double sided forms are handled as a single file (2 sided document saved as an individual tiff), before moving onto a new tiff file for the next double sided document. Now, on my new Canon, it scans each document, and makes a single tiff file for each side scanned, separating the original document from front to back.
For better clarification: On Xerox (with separate multiple page setting enabled) I scan two double sided documents on Xerox, I get 2 files. On Canon, with same 'separate multiple page' setting, I get 4 files, which will not work in our environment.
Is there a setting that I'm missing that will contain each double sided document to a single file before moving onto a new file creation? Often I have stacks of 100 double sided documents that need to be processed. Or is this going to be a deal breaker for us moving over to the Canon world?
