imageCLASS MF654Cdw Help "set it up to print automatically"

I recently purchased a Canon MF656Cdw/MF654Cdw.  I set it up with all the instructions.  However, when I choose a document to print from my computer, the printer beeps and I need to push something on the screen twice to get it to print.  I would like to set it up to print automatically without the necessity of hitting something on the screen.  Can anyone tell me how to go about this please?  Thank you in advance.

Greetings,

The MF654 and MF656 are different models.  Which do you own?  The model appears on the front of the device.

While operationally similar, knowing the model is helpful for accuracy.

I suspect you have a paper mismatch error. This is the most common reason for being prompted to acknowledge a print operation.. This happen when you specify an incorrect paper size for the print job.

This is a guess, so if you can tell us what the actual error is we can probably provide more specific information.  😉

Hi Rick,

thank you for your quick response.  I have the MF654Cdw model.

Ok the first error is to load paper (which I've chosen ltr) and once I hit that, then I have to choose between what looks like a paper drawer.  Does this make sense?  If I were to just have letter paper in there and want to print on that, what paper settings do you suggest?  There is a multi drawer and letter (government) Plain 1 that I chose.  This is confusing 🙃
