No available scanner found - MF273dw

Just purchased a MF273dw laser jet and scanner

Downloaded the Canon MF Scan Utility but when I try to open it the box says no available scanner found.

I can readily print but cannot scan.

We need a little more information please.

How is the printer connected and to what?

What operating system version and build are you using the using the printer with?

What software did you install besides the MF Scan Utility?

We can provide next steps when you reply.

It’s connected via wireless LAN.  It’s the latest version of Apple Mac’s laptop IOS type update.  I haven’t installed any other software.

Is that latest available for your hardware or Mac OS Tahoe?

Choose downloads , your OS and install all available drivers and utilities.  If you are using AirPrint, you will not get full functionality from your device.

I downloaded all drivers.  The scanner one takes me to the above screens on driver and asks me to do easy connect to pc.  

when I try to “apply” settings it does something.   But then I cannot still scan nor print.   I have to then shut off printer and reboot essentially and then I cannot still scan print.   So probably will just leave it like that.  Don’t scan often but if I need to I will just take photo and send it on.

You need to look at the printer's networking settings and info to see if it has a valid IP address on your network.

Did you install the printer driver as well as the scanner driver? Can you print to it?
