MP Navigator EX 1.0 not working with Windows 7

Hello,

 

I have deleted and re-installed both my Canoscan 8800F scanner and the MP Navigator Ex 1.0 on my Windows computer using Windows 7.

The MP Navigator Ex software locked up and and now I can't open it.

Any suggestions for a fix?

The drivers available for W7 are mature and should function without issues on windows7 (32 or 64bit).

 

Why it won't run in your environment, we can only speculate.

 

-Problems with your OS or file system

-3rd party Anti-Virus or software firewall

-Hardware or drivers issue

-Problems with the device itself

-Cable or connection issue

-Problem with your installation media

-Using old installtion media

 

Things I noted..  you are trying to install MP Navigator v1.0

 

Version 1.08 is avaiable on the Product support page for your device

 

I would suggest downloading the latest version of the installers for your OS from the 8800F's Support Page

 

Drivers Tab / Software tab.

 

These however, may only be a short term solution. 

 

Windows 7 is about 45 days away from being EOL.

 

Its time for you to consider a new OS.   Your scanner will continue to work with Windows 10, and you'll be a whole bunch safer too.
