MAXIFY GX2020 Ink 3/4 full after printing 10 pages of black text

I have a new GX2020 and have only printed about 10 pages in black. I look at the ink level in the front and it appears like it's 3/4 full. I've not altered the settings from the factory.

Should i leave it in Auto Off, because after 240 minutes the printer completely shuts off. I print occasionally maybe once a week or two. When I turn it on again, it seems to run doing something for about 30 seconds.

Suggestions?

OK - how can it be inaccurate. It's a window that shows each individual color in the ink banks through a transparent
window. It reflects the actual amount of ink in the bank, so I doubt it's incorrect, since its' real-time visual.
Printing a test page and cleaning the print heads doesn't sound like an accurate answer. The printer is brand new; it already went through the initial setup cycle. I've printed only 10 pages over the last 14 days.
It seems like after the 240 minutes of idle time, the printer turns completely off. When it's manually turned on, it sounds like it's going through some type of setup sound internally again.

Yes, I can contact Cannon, but I need a more detailed response addressing this issue of things to try, settings to check and maybe change, etc.

Hello!

If you're worried about the amount of ink your printer uses during maintenance cycles, the best course of action is to contact support. They can assist you with troubleshooting over the phone and help determine if your printer is functioning properly. You can find all your support options in your My Canon Account, including one-on-one phone support, at https://canon.us/account.

OK - I'll try this suggestion to contact Cannon directly. I could not find the link to contact them directly on their site, but I'll try this link to see if I can obtain a human being from Cannon to respond. It seems like one has to go through multiple useless AI Bots to obtain a response.

Thank you!

OK, so should I let the printer cycle off after 240 minutes OR should I alter that setting to prevent it from totally shutting down and have it on standby ALL the time.

If I have to allow the printer to go through these cleaning sessions a lot of ink will be wasted needlessly,

That is my concern.
