Fast scanner - what hardware?

Hello,

We have purchased Canon G2110 and installed drivers along with CaptureOnTouch Pro. I noticed that the scanner slows down, especially when reading barcodes on the documents. I presume this may be related to greater computational requirements when additional operations are performed on images. I am planning a computer upgrade and have a few questions regarding the recommended specification:

1. How much RAM should we install?
2. What kind of processor?
3. Whether the graphics card takes part in processing or finding barcode/file type conversion is mostly done by the processor?
4. Any other hardware consideration?
