Canon 6065 Single-Sided Scanning?

I am trying to scan a large single-sided document. How do I change the settings to scan single-sided instead of double-sided? Whenever I select that menu option, it only gives me the choice between book or calendar style. I cannot find anywhere how to make anything single-sided. Please help as I do not want an even larger scanned document filled with blank pages!
