Cannon G3620

Let me start by stating the G3620 is an excellent printer and provides excellent value for money.

My concern is that Cannon has not provided a backlight to the LED display. When the printer is not located in a very brightly lit up area the display is very hard to read. To solve this problem a small torch has been placed next to the printer just so the display can been seen.

The second issues is the display is not angled to the user. The user has to bend over the printer and look directly down at the display to view the small menu selection.

These issues should never have arisen. Any field testing would have shown up that the printer needs to be back lit on the display and angled towards the user for ease of use. If the reason for not providing an angled lit up display was to save money on production, it was a bad decision. One of the first key steps in design is to have ease of use for the consumer. If you cannot easy read the display then the printer is compromised.

My recommendation is that the display is sorted out for future models as soon as possible.
