"No paper/ink" false message on Selphy CP 910

Has anyone had a false message "No paper/ink" when there is clearly paper and ink loaded?  Is there anything I can do or should I just throw the printer away?

I am getting “ out of ink “ message after changing to new ink cartridges x 3 w same message. Did you get any solution ? I can’t see mechanism or get to workings that I can tell. Thanks
