what's the proper way to dispose of Canon used cartridges?

Office Depot will buy them from you. They don't give much but if you are there anyway, why not?

I actually don't do that because I am sure they want to use them as refills. And I don't use or recommend anyone else use refilled ink cartridges. It is a bad idea.
