Thanks for the reply. They offered for me to pay only $500 for the replacemen of sensor. I think you are right, its the filter thats damaged ...therefore the amount that they are asking me to ONLY pay for is the actual price of replacing the filter.Originally they said-50/50 for a total amount of $1800, then they said half each. They didnt really solve the problem because ...they are asking me to pay for the replacement of filter then. Did they? So disappointed with Canon, if I can only change to Nikon, I would. At this point its a bit late with all the stuff I bought from Canon.
