We have used our IR C3100 for years on our small business network through ethernet cable and wireless with Windows XP and 7. September of 2013 I purchased a new laptop with Windows 8 (x64). I set up the appropriate driver and it printed to the C3100 and worked fine. Then I updated to Windows 8.1 (x64), but didn't use the office C3100 printer right away. When I did, I ran into a problem. My laptop sees the C3100, and the C3100 sees my laptop. I can print something on my laptop, and it says the printer is "Ready" and it sends it off to print and acts like everthing printed just fine. . .just as if it printed. However, nothing actually prints on the C3100, and the C3100 doesn't even make a sound or recognition that something was sent to it. I purchased another new computer (desktop) for the office two weeks ago with Windows 8 (x64), and upgraded it right away to Windows 8.1 (x64). I added the driver that your Canon website says I should add (PS3_v14.00_Setup_x64), and guess what? The same problem occurs. Both of my Window's 8.1 computers act as if everything is fine and is marrily printing away, but nothing comes out the printer. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver on my laptop, but to the same outcome. My old Windows XP desktops still print just fine to the C3100, so my only assumption is that it has something to do with the driver not working properly with Windows 8.1. The business with whom we had the contract to maintain our C3100 will no longer give us a contract because they say it's too old and they won't mess with it, so I can't get any help from them. At some point we will eventually have to buy a new printer, but for now the C3100 is working just fine (when it does print) and our non-profit business is trying to save every penny we can. So I'm kind of dependent on Canon to help me. I did send Canon an email to "Support", but they responded by saying this is an issue they can't help me with, and I should talk to the business we have a contract with (which we don't). So I'm stuck. Can you help please? Thank you.

Hi Danny,
OK, I did what you said. The dealer tech guy told me my C3100 doesn't support a Post Script drive, which is all you have on your download website for the ir C3100 under Windows 8 or 8.1, and that what I need is the UFR II v14.00 drive, even though it doesn't say it specifically supports the C3100. So I downloaded the UFR II v14.00 drive, and ran set up, but of course it can't find my C3100. So I also did as the dealer tech said, which is to go to my Printers and Devices, click Add Printer, pick my C3100 under it's IP address, and under "Have Disk" browse to the downloaded UFR II v14.00 file and install it. I did so, but it acts just like the post script drive - I can see it and print to it, but the printer itself doesn't respond. If he can't help me, and you can't help me, who can??? Do you have a non-post script driver that works for Windows 8.1 for my ir C3100? Please????
