Wide Angle Lens Recommendations for EOS Rebel T7

kaseyrbutler

Hello.

I know next to nothing about photography so bear with me.

I am using an EOS Rebel T7 with an EF-S 18-55mm lens to take photos of commercial construction jobs (mainly office spaces). I need to be able to capture photos showing an entire room, some as small as 160 sq ft. What are my options for lenses compatible with the T7 that can capture that?

You can always take multiple images and photomerge them into a "panorama", but the best lenses would be the EF-S 10-18 and the EF-S 10-22. The angle of view will be 108 degrees.

@kvbarkley The OP owns a Rebel which is a DSLR and uses EF lenses. RF lenses are NOT COMPATIBLE with DSLRS. So you probably mean the EF-S counterparts.

Thanks. Brain fart. Edited to be correct.

I second the recommendation of the EF-S10-18mm IS STM. I think you’ll enjoy using it with your Rebel T7 for the purpose you mentioned.

To help you imagine what a 100 degree field of view looks like, if you stand in a corner you should be able to image everything in the room.

I have a 10-18 EF-S on my T8I and it works well as a wide angle with a crop sensor camera.
