RF70-200 F2.8 L IS USM Z or RF70-200 F2.8 L IS USM for EOS RP

I'm deciding which of these RF70-200  f2.8 lenses I should get (new). The difference in price is roughly 10%.  It will be used with my EOS RP camera. It will be the only lens I use (apart from a prime 135mm lens). I've read several reviews comparing these to top-notch lower range telephotos and if anyone has used either of these two lenses with the EOS RP, what experiences have you had? I read that the aperture ring on the Z model only works on newer RF cameras (so probably not the RP?). Apart from speed differences in AF for better camera bodies, are there any limitations of using these lenses with the EOS RP?  Since I will be using this lens a lot for scenery and closer shots, it seems like the perfect high-end all-around compromise lens for many uses. I also plan to use it for wider field astro shots and I realize that cameras are obviously not intended for astro but is the (slight?) sharpness difference between the Z and non-Z lens that significant? I really like the very low weight of both these lenses and portability.  Any comments from users with direct experience with these 2 lenses would be greatly appreciated.

The aperture ring is only fully compatible on the EOS R1 EOS R5 Mark II. For other cameras it only works in video mode this is due to a hardware limitation. The newer Z versions adds teleconverter support which is the something the original doesn't support. It is also internal zoom compared to the original model which is external zoom.

Thanks for this. I was aware from the reviews of most differences you mention. The tele-extender option for the Z is a big plus. Is there an issue with the extending zoom tube non-Z version sliding/travelling if the camera is pointed at a steep vertical angle? I think I saw some comments about that. Would this not happen in the sealed Z version?

Is the sharpness difference in the two versions enough to justify the price difference?

Quick update .. I asked Canon product support in email about the Z vs non-Z model and if there was any possibility of creep in the zoom for high camera tilt angles. They responded to my email but didn't comment on that part of my question.
