What lens would you recommend to take to a carnival/fair?

The Canon RF 28-70mm f/2 L USM Lens  is their best, most versatile most general use lens. However, that's just a shot in the dark since you gave no needed info to suggest a GP lens.

There are cheaper options that fall into this general FL.

We'd need to know what lenses you own now, so we dont recommend something you already have.

Do you have a budget that would be helpful too.

I own a:

70-200mm 2.8 Z

100mm 2.8 Macro

24-105 4

2X extender

 

I was thinking of buying a 16mm 2.8 or 35mm 1.8. Not sure if either would be better than what I have though.
