Greetings,

There's no risk to your pacemaker or printer  if either was at or near a wireless broadcast.  The EMI is very low.  I'm not trying to provide medical advice.  You should take whatever precautions that are indicated by your medical provider or PM manufacturer.  A cell phone would provide a greater risk to pacemaker function, but it would have to be in a pocket and in direct proximity to a PM.  Information about this is readily available on multiple medical websites.  This is why most hospitals have policies which restrict cell phone use in ICU's.

I'd focus on getting a printer that has the features you want, at the price point you're looking to spend.  Contact the Canon sales team for assistance.  1-800-385-2155

Thanks Rick, I appreciate your input. The 6420 i purchased and since returned has a strong warning if you feel jittery, contact doctor immediately. I'll need to do some research. I want to make sure i'm around for a longg time. Thanks
