I don't think be a password is needed. Other than maybe a password for the WiFi network you are using. Did you set a password and forget it?
Here is a link to the EOS REBEL T6 Wireless Function Instruction Manual You can download it and maybe figure out the correct procedure for your camera and phone.
If you are still having trouble, I would reset the camera settings back to default and start again from the beginning.
