Hello all,
I need a replacement batteries for my Canon 1Ds MkIII; can I use the new LP-E4n? With the same charger?
Thank you in advance.

I found this
http://www.the-digital-picture.com/Reviews/Canon-LP-E4N-Battery-Pack-Review.aspx
Which suggests that it will only charge to about 90% with the charger you & I have, A newer charger will be required for 100% My calculator says that instead of getting 2450 mAh you' be hoping for 2205 mAh which is a bit shy of the correct battery we're already using.

I really don't know whether it would or not. It certainly won't make it last longer but whether it would shorten it's life much is hard to tell.
