Time Lapse Shots With SL2

Is it possible to make a series of time-lapse photos with the Rebel SL2?  I do not mean time-lapse video.  I want separate shots.

Only if you get an intervalometer compatible with the RS-60E3.

The camera itself does not have this capability.
