Shutter release controller for 60D

Looking for a recommendation for a shutter release controller for my 60D that does not require the controller to be in the front of the camera as the RC-6 does.

The RS-60E3 is a "wired" remote release although the cord isn't particularly long (just a few feet). You could get a extension cable for it (it's a 3-conductor "stereo" type plug.) There are 3rd parties that also make remote releases and some make radio-wireless releases which plug into the remote shutter release socket (the same as the RS-60E3) but since they're radio triggered there's no line-of-sight requirement.

You guys want the ultimate in remote control for the 60D, 5D, etc.?  I highly recommend the CamRanger for use via an iPad.  Only one word describes that setup: Awesome!  My brother-in-law has the CamRanger set up with his 5D Mk.III, and I've used it extensively myself when borrowing his camera.  Food for thought.
