Own a 7D with a 24-105L len`s. Was using a 580 EX2 at an event and was getting real slow shutter exposure, was in the TT-L mode and had a Rouge Flash-Bender on the flash. With the slow shutter speed you can imagine how the pic`s turned out! Switched over to shutter priority and that helped some, any idea`s what to do next time?

Use manual mode on the camera. Set the shutter speed at 1/250, aperture at around f/5.6 or so, the flash will take care of the rest.

If you were shooting in AV mode, the camera will set the shutter speed for your selected aperture according to the available light. You are best off to shoot in manual mode with your shutter speed at least 125 or 160 and your aperture large enough for the flash's power at your shooting distance. You could also shoot in (shudder) auto mode. 🙂
